Who is Mary? Mary is our Spiritual Mother. How do we know this? Her son told us from the cross, ‘near the cross of Jesus stood his mother… seeing his mother and the disciple he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son.’ Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother.’ God made Mary our Spiritual Mother. Many are not ‘into’ Mary, our Spiritual Mother, but like Jesus, her son, Mary is into YOU! In December 1925 Mary appeared to Sister Lucia, the only surviving child from the apparitions of Mary at Fatima in 1917. She asked that Five First Saturday Rosaries be prayed ‘with the intention of offering me reparation.’ Reparation for what? On May 29, 1930, Our Lord explained to Sister Lucia why five First Saturdays. ‘My daughter, the reason is simple. Against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, five kinds of offenses and blasphemies are committed: Those committed against the Immaculate Conception; Those committed against the virginity of Our Lady; Those committed against the Divine maternity, refusing at the same time, to accept Her as the Mother of men; Those committed by men who publicly attempt to instill indifference, scorn and even hatred for this Immaculate Mother in the hearts of children; Those committed by men who insult Her directly in Her statues. June, the month of The Sacred Heart, Corpus Christi Sunday, the feast of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the feast of The Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the feast of the Second Apparition of Our Lady of Fatima. Members of our retreat team offer and invite all parishioners, Rosary warriors, and US Grace Force members to pray the last five First Saturday Rosaries in our Chapel beginning at 3:45PM, Saturday, June 5th before the Blessed Sacrament. | ||
